Scientific conclusions: On the base petrologic-geochemical investigations for the first time he determined physical-chemical terms of crystallization and geodynamic conditions of Late Cenozoic volcanic associations in the Lesser Caucasus and composition of initial magma and assessed degree of multing of the mantle source and role of mantle metasomatism during the formation of these magmas. The major and trace element characteristics suggest that the magmas that produced the Miocene–Quaternary volcanic sequences in the Lesser Caucasus were derived by different degrees of partial melting of a variously subduction enriched, subcontinental lithospheric mantle. The subduction signature in the melt evolution of these volcanic sequences appears to have diminished through time because of an increased asthenospheric component from the late Miocene to the Quaternary. FC and/or AFC processes were also important during the evolution of these magmas. First evaluated the role of mantle plume in the formation of late Cenozoic volcanism in the Lesser Caucasus, built Geochemical model of volcanism. Made more than 160 references to published papers in international scientific journals.
