DEPARTMENT OF HYDROGEOLOGY AND ENGINEERING GEOLOGY

The department of «Hydrogeology and engineering geology» was created on the basis of department of the general geology and the hydrogeology organised in 1943 at geologo-geographical faculty ASU. The founder of a hydro-geological science in Azerbaijan of prof. A.N.Askerov (1951-1985) was the first manager of the given chair, and further over it supervised over prof. S.S.Samedov (1986-1991) and senior lecturer A.A.Masimov (1991-2008). On this department many long years professors A.N.Askerov, G.J.Israfilov, T.S.Shahsuvarov, R.N.Sultanov, A.D.Aslanov, associate professors - A.M.Magerramova, V.D.Ahundov, N.M.Efendiev, the senior lecturer - H.Nasirova fruitfully worked. Employees of chair have the big scientific and pedagogical experience and are known researchers in the field of hydrogeology and engineering geology. With their help the department always conducted complex researches successfully. Now the manager of the department is associate professor A.I.Khasayev.
