PERSONAL DATA

• Born on March 14, 1940 in the Agjayazi village of Agdash region.
• Admitted to the Azerbaijan State University in 1959 and graduated in 1965 with honors diploma, after which was accepted to the post graduate course at the Azerbaijan Academy of Sciences Geology Institute and defended Ph.D. thesis in 1968.

EDUCATION AND ACADEMIC DEGREES OBTAINED

• Graduated from the Azerbaijan State University in 1965.
• Defended Ph.D. thesis on the topic of “Material composition and conditions for formation of the Vejneli deposit gold polymethallic ores” in 1968 at the Azerbaijan Academy of Sciences Geology Institute.

COMPLETE PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

• Worked as a junior, senior and leading researcher at the Azerbaijan Academy of Sciences Geology Institute during 1968-1993.
• Works as an assistant professor in the Crystallography, Mineralogy and Geochemistry Department of Baku State University since 1993 up to date.
• Mineralogy and minerals’ laboratory research methods
• Author of more than 70 scientific articles.
• Author of two books.
• Discovered more than 10 new minerals from Azerbaijan ore deposits.
